This is a reprint edition of two smaller treatises, each of which was used as a Latin Companion to Aristotle's Categories during the Middle Ages: Porphyry's Isagoge or Introduction, and the so called Liber sex principiorum, which mainly deals with the last six Aristotelian categories. Both works were studied in great detail and critically edited by L. Minio-Paluello and B.G. Dod in 1966.
