Presenting 50 of the best examples of recent hotel architecture and interiors, this work incorporates a diversity of style and form in "designer" hotels, luxury hotels, resorts, themed hotels and the stylish mainstream of international business hotels. Some of the de-luxe chains have turned away from the rather bland "international" five-star style which dominated hotel interiors in the late-1980s to embrace local culture and craftsmanship. The result has been a rebirth of individuality as hotels seek to revive the particular style of the countries and regions they serve.
