Description

This is a comprehensive selection of the work of Vincent Van Gogh together with significant paintings by some 40 of his Dutch contemporaries. Although Van Gogh himself knew few of the artists working in his own time, he was influenced by the cultural climate prevailing in the Netherlands during the 1880s, and, in the 1890s, he in turn inspired some of most talented painters of the younger generation.
