Description and Table of Contents
Description
The first cases of AIDS were described in mid-1981. The rising number of cases in the US and Europe in 1984 led to the creation of the European Community Working Group AIDS, made up of physicians from both basic and clinical science, to co-ordinate action against the disease. This book contains the proceedings of the first of their meetings at the end of 1985, with contributions from experts on the clinical presentation, epidemiology, and natural history of AIDS; AIDS-related infections; clinical immunology; laboratory and diagnostic tests; treatment; and data collection.
