Description
The radical restructuring of many organizations has changed the basic idea Of Career. Instead Of A Sequence Of Promotions And Pay Rises Within An organization, individuals have suffered a loss of security of employment And Prospects Of Promotion. The Consequences For Employee Morale And organizational innovation are beginning to be felt, and organizations are at a loss as to how to manage careers in future. Individuals, likewise, are trying to maintain their employability in the labour market by developing marketable skills.; This special issue addresses these concerns, primarily from the organization's perspective. It looks at different aspects of career management practices applied to different sorts of employee and discusses some useful tools.; This text should be of interest to practitioners and researchers in the area of work and organizational psychology.
