The radical restructuring of many organizations has changed the basic idea Of Career. Instead Of A Sequence Of Promotions And Pay Rises Within An organization, individuals have suffered a loss of security of employment And Prospects Of Promotion. The Consequences For Employee Morale And organizational innovation are beginning to be felt, and organizations are at a loss as to how to manage careers in future. Individuals, likewise, are trying to maintain their employability in the labour market by developing marketable skills.; This special issue addresses these concerns, primarily from the organization's perspective.
