Description and Table of Contents
Description
Once dubbed "the green fungus among us", "trichoderma reesei" has long been at the centre of research into the biochemistry of enzymes as potential sources of cellulase. This book updates the research results from recent years on the biochemistry of microbial carbohydrases (beta-glycolases) in a comprehensive review. This confrontation of expert views on strucure/function relationships in fungal and bacterial cellulases and hemicellulases also covers topics such as advances in application fields, new findings in glycoprotein strucures and new insights into domain structures. It is aimed at biochemists, molecular biologists, X-ray chrystallographers and industrialists.
Table of Contents
- Biochemisty of glycanases
- structure/function of carbohydrases
- substrates and industrial applications
- gene regulation and expression
- protein linked glycosylstructures in lower eucaryotes.
