Description and Table of Contents

Description

One of the key future challenges facing the automotive industry is the emission propsals in Europe for 2005, together with likely incentives to improve fuel economy. Although new developments in combustion, after-treatment, and system technologies appear encouraging, significant improvements must be made in order to meet these future challenges and to make them affordable to the end customer. The selected papers in this text examine, from an international perspective, available technologies, developments and plans for the future.

Table of Contents

  • engine design and development
  • fuel injection systems and lubricants
