内容説明

To be able to understand at the atomic level what happens on an electrochemical interface, scientists have developed tools which allow them to monitor the reactions taking place within extremely small areas. This text explains inventions in this field and investigates their applications. The most common type of electrochemical interface is the surface of a metal in contact with water, such as the body of a car when it is raining. Traditional techniques for investigating the (corrosion) processes occurring in this situation deal with relatively large parts of the surfaces.
