内容説明
This text is written specifically for non-technical personnel who work with engineers, but aren't familiar with the engineering concepts and technical aspects of cellular radio and telecommunications systems. Using layman's language, with no mathematics, this text should help the reader understand the "hows and whys" behind cellular network design, and enables the reader to: recognize the basic similarities between cellular and WLL systems, and understand their overall design functions; learn how cellular radio systems successfully locate and send calls to subscribers; grasp the underlying techniques used to transfer radio signals from a transmitter to a receiver; look ahead to future cellular and WLL systems, based on industry trends such as convergence, the information society, mobile/fixed integration, and more; and identify and compare several key radio systems in use today, including fast-moving satellite personal communications systems and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications).
