内容説明
The men who worked for the Hudson's Bay Company were not all fur traders. Most were labourers and artisans, who, like workers elsewhere, had perspectives and interests that did not necessarily coincide with their employer's. This book examines how the Hudson Bay Company workers defended their interests, negotiated terms of employment, tried to control working conditions, and acted together to increase wages or oppose unfair treatment.
