内容説明

Most work is accomplished through organizations, whether industrial, commercial, public sector or not-for-profit. And within the organizations, this book argues, it is people who hold the key to success, because only people can provide the creative element that drives an enterprise along. The authors set out to help to identify and channel the latent strengths in people to the benefit of both the individual concerned and the organizations for which they work. They describe 14 "blockages" that can prevent an organization from reaching its full potential and explain how to overcome each of them. The techniques in question have been used not only in business but also in social work, police forces, local government - even a convent. Moreover, they have been applied in a score of different countries in all the continents of the world. This is the third edition of a book originally published in the USA. With its companion volume "50 Activities for Unblocking your Organization" it provides advice for managers and professional "change makers" determined to improve the effectiveness of their organization.
