Description
A compilation of papers developed for the annual Round Table Conference of the Brussels Emergency and Intensive Care meeting. Bringing together researchers from many disciplines, with both basic and clincal perspectives, this meeting reviewed and debated issues pertaining to the control of tissue oxygenation in acute medicine, as well as treatments to improve tissue oxygenation when abnormal. In this latter context, special emphasis was placed on understanding the effect of blood substitutes on the circulation, and the potential roles of this family of compounds in clinical medicine.
Table of Contents
- Role of cardiorespiratory system in delivering oxygen
