内容説明

Conventions or "legislation treaties" are agreements drawn up between EC Member States on community-related matters. The Judgements Convention, also known as the Brussels Convention or the 1968 Convention, is one of the most significant. It relates to jurisdiction and the enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters and creates a common approach among the Member States courts to determining questions of jurisdiction. It facilitates the recognition and enforcement of judgments, authentic instruments and court settlements of the national courts across the Community. Under the convention, provision is made for national courts to stay their proceedings and refer questions on the proper interpretation of the conventions to the European Court of Justice. This volume provides a comprehensive collection of case law on this area.
