Description and Table of Contents
Description
The Chinese economy is currently expanding, and while much is known about the the expansion taking place in China's coastal cities, this book assembles information about the growth taking place in inner China, especially in the cities of Chengdu, Chongqing and Wuhan. One of a series of business reports for Southeast Asia, this book aims to help investors decide whether to invest in inner China or coastal cities such as Shanghai. It analyzes the comparative advantages and disadvantages of foreign-owned enterprises, joint ventures and other options. The book presents case studies of important joint ventures, including Puyi-Briggs and Stratton Engine Corporation. It also contains substantial coverage of the region's extensive electronics industry. Based on documents, seminars, discussions and personal interviews in Sichuan Province, this text offers a first-hand guide to Sichuan's business opportunities.
