内容説明
An art CD-ROM for children devised and selected by Lucy Micklethwait in association with the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. Drawing on important pictures from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, My Oxford Picture Box will entertain young children as it develops perceptual skills and artistic judgement. Containing 101 paintings and 7 activities, the CD-ROM is a fun-packed introduction to the world of art. Interactive picture games such as What's missing, Words and Pictures, and an art quiz encourage children to look closely at the pictures, ask questions, and discuss what they see. Each game develops powers of observation whilst increasing children's knowledge of and familiarity with the paintings. All the paintings on the CD-ROM have been specially chosen to appeal to children offering them a great deal to look at and talk about. With artists as diverse as Rubens, Renoir, and Warhol, the pictures are as varied as possible, offering children enormous opportunities to increase visual awareness.
Interactive picture games encourage children to look into each painting closely and develop their powers of observation; the CD-ROM can be used by a child alone, in a family group, or in a classroom with equal success; supports National Curriculum requirements for Key Stages 1 & 2.
