Description
This text is concerned with cytokines, their receptors and the mechanisms cytokine receptors employ to transduce their crucial biological activities. A central feature for these receptors is the lack of tyrosine kinase domains in their cytoplasmic domain. Discoveries on cytokine receptor signalling mechanisms explain this paradigm and are discussed at length in the text. Standing orders placed before December 31st 1996 will receive a 10% reduction off the list price of all volumes published within the series between the order date and December 31st 1997. This offer is valid from June 1996, on a firm order basis only.
