Description and Table of Contents

Description

The fifth edition of Curriculum Development in Vocational and Technical Education offers useful information about how to plan, develop and implement curricula and programs in community colleges and secondary schools. The twelve chapters take the reader through the process of curriculum building from start to finish. Also included are numerous illustrations, forms, and descriptions of how to successfully work through the development process. Each chapter includes a set of references that assist in gathering additional related information. The text is divided into four sections: 1) curriculum development, 2) curriculum planning, 3) curriculum content, and 4) curriculum implementation. Collectively, these chapters provide a range of ways that curricula can be created to assist students in preparing for employment in the world class workplace. The book is an invaluable resource for instructors, administrators, curriculum specialists, and others who want to design the best curricula or programs for their students.
