The papers presented in this volume are gathered from the fourth in a series of conferences of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, entitled, "Arbitration: The Commercial Way to Justice". Contributions to the work deal with the philosophy and practice of modern commercial arbitration in the international context. The theme is that of practical justice, effeciently achieved. The book also contains a collection of papers on related topics which complement the wide-ranging programme of the confernece and provide a comprehensive commentary on arbitration.
