Description and Table of Contents
Description
Three EU insurance directives provide for considerable deregulation and harmonization and thus contribute significantly to the internal market. In order to take advantage of these advances it is becoming more and more important to have all information on EU insurance markets. This publication reviews the situation of insurance markets, first for all contributing countries and then in individual countries. The evolution of business is examined using indicators of structural changes in the markets and data on premiums, claims and cost ratios.
