A computer simulation for strategic management. It aims to help students understand how the functional pieces of a business fit together, by running a simulated company over a number of decision periods to develop a student's business judgement and focus on long-range planning. Students learn from working with numbers, exploring options and trying to unite production, marketing, finance and human resources decisions into a coherent strategy. New to this edition is a demand forecasting model and an inventory liquidation option. Many other features are retained from previous editions, such as the opportunity to bid for celebrity endorsements, optional executive compensation, on-screen decision support calculations and "what-iffing" capability, five-year strategic plan model and an industry scoreboard which is automatically part of the results written onto each company's disk each decision period.
