Description
This volume is part of a series designed to provide an authoritative and timely review of advances in the fields of gas-phase photochemistry and kinetics. It contains a collection of papers written by internationally acknowledged specialists. The contributors address such topics as quantum state resolved studies of reactive processes, experimental and theoretical studies of the association reactions of atoms and free radicals, experimental studies of collisional energy transfer, of bimolecular collision processes involving alkaline earth atoms, of reactions of bare metal clusters and of collision processes involving ions in drift fields.
Table of Contents
- Experimental and theoretical studies of the dynamics of the hydrogen exchange reaction - the maturation of a prototype, J.J.Valentini and D.L.Phillips
- vibrational excitation in biomolecular reactions, I.W.M.Smith
- association reactions, J.W.Davies and M.J.Pilling
- transition state theory rate constants for association reactions without potential energy barriers, W.L.Hase and D.M.Wardlaw
- recent studies of collisional energy transfer in vibrationally highly excited molecules in the ground electronic state, H.Hippler and J.Troe
- biomolecular collisions involving electronically excited alkaline earth atoms, D.Husain and G.Roberts
- studies of the reaction of metal clusters, M.F.Jarrold
- laser probing of ion collisions in drift fields - state excitation, velocity distribution and alignment effects, S.R.Leone.
