The world of arts and literature has not escaped the problem of AIDS. Not only has the disease made itself felt in the lives (and deaths) of artists and their friends, but it has also affected the very form and content of contemporary art. AIDS is becoming a prevalent theme in literature, drama, dance, music, film, television, painting and photography.
