内容説明
The field of international employment relations has come alive again after a period when most researchers focused on developments within their national systems. There is now a consensus that we have more to learn from each other than we do from self-examination. This is understandable given the growing importance of world markets and regional trading blocs, the remarkable political transformations in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, the advancing Asian economies, and the speed with which organizational and technological innovations cross national borders. Professors Bamber and Lansbury provide a useful guide to how we might go about this cross-national learning. They point out that a variety of important analytical frameworks exist to support international comparisons and show how these frameworks will become the focal points of important debates in the field in the years ahead.
