Edvard Munch (1863-1944) is Norway's most important painter and graphic artist and the only one to exercise a decisive influence on European art. This beautifully illustrated book features the most important works from the Munch Museum, Oslo: a celebration of the artist's oeuvre. The museum's collection is housed in a specially commissioned building, designed by the architects Gunnar Fougner and Einar Myklebust, which opened in 1963.
