内容説明
Research is becoming an important part of business schools' activities. Management and business economics are often seen as a fragmented research area without any unifying paradigm. That may be the case, but diversity may not necessarily be bad - there may be dimensions other than paradigms that serve to unify the areas. This collection of papers arises from the activity of the European Doctoral Programmes Association in Management and Business Administration, and reflects the situation in the field as seen mainly through the eyes of advanced doctoral students. Issues concerning rationality and postmodernity, paradigms and social construction, theory buiding and application of knowledge to practical problems are treated. The philosophical problems are seen in relation to actual research projects concerning such diverse topics as privatization, fish farming and technological change.
