Description and Table of Contents
Description
Most of the articles in this collection were originally presented as papers at the annual sessions of the Oxford Energy Seminar over the period 1982-5. The contributors are recognised, well-known specialists on international trade in gas from a variety of academic and industrial backgrounds. They include: Burckhard Bergmann, James T. Jensen, Arve Johnsen, Aman R. Khan, Robert Mabro, Ahmed Messili, Jonathan P. Stern, Ir Wijarso. This collection is concerned with issues of international trade in natural gas. The prospects for trade are examined and the particular problems which hinder the expansion of gas trade in Western Europe, Japan, the USA, and the developing countries. The important questions of government intervention in international negotiations and that of the role played by political factors in the areas of investment and trade are also addressed in this book.
