内容説明

This work is based on research commissioned by the NSPCC to secure children's views of harm, risk and their anxieties, and the sort of support, advice or assistance they desired. It provides a child-centred perspective on "significant harm" as defined in the Children Act, and also informs about the real concerns and worries of children in the 1990's. The book recounts the actual words of young people recovering from the worst experiences of childhood, including rape and serious abuse. It also informs on children's views on their treatment by social welfare staff; courses of action for child protection agencies; management and practice implications; and the thoughts and opinions of child victims of trauma.
