Since 1970, when their existence was first predicted, fullerenes have attracted the attention of scientists in a wide variety of scientific fields. Numerous different compounds are needed to evaluate and estimate their chemical and physical properties, thus the isolation and purification of fullerenes and their derivatives from carbon soot mixtures is a key process. Separation of Fullerenes contains the most up-to-date innovations from the world's leaders in their rapidly developing field. Uniquely devoted to separation techniques, this book describes the different stationary phases currently used which can isolate fullerenes by liquid chromatography, and the challenges of finding or developing new stationary phases.
