Description
Focusing on the avant-garde artist and photographer Man Ray (1890-1976), this is one of a series of illustrated monographs which offer introductions to modern art and artists. Each book presents a profile of the artist and analysis of his distinctive style. Born in Philadelphia, Man Ray came into his own in Paris in the 1920s and became a major figure in the Dadaist and Surrealist movements, as well as one of the most successful commercial photographers of his day.
