内容説明
The main elements of rhetoric are argument, arrangement, and style. Each topic is treated exhaustively in Classical Rhetoric for the Modern Student. The text also includes the progymnasta, an introduction to classical rhetoric and a survey of the history of rhetoric. The book is rich in examples from the best writers among classic and contemporary men and women, and many examples are followed by intensive rhetorical analysis. In addition to many examples,
the chapter on style contains numerous practical application exercises for students to practise.
