Paperback. This Proceedings Volume contains the papers presented at the 4th Symposium on Advances in Control Education, ACE '97, which was held in Istanbul, Turkey, on 14-16 July 1997. The symposium was an international forum where the recent developments and advances on control education were discussed and the experience and knowledge of new approaches in this area were disseminated. Tools like mathematics software packages, multimedia, Internet and Tele-control seem to offer many benefits from the education point of view, if they are properly used.There were three invited sessions on practical and theoretical aspects of control education and 59 papers from 32 countries worldwide, many of them from developing countries.
