This text provides a source of science content, methods and activities. It examines effective science teaching methods, explores how science instruction helps children improve knowledge-gaining and information-processing skills, and provides the content, information and activities needed for a complete science course. The book's organization and coverage reflects the continuing reorganization of schools (especially the trend toward "middle schools"), is correlated to the National Science Education Standards, and is grouped for Grades K-4, 6-8 and 9-12.
