Description
This book comprises of the travels of 2 employees of the Dutch East India Company who travelled independent of each other. Christopher Fryke travelled between 1680-1686 and visited the Moluccas, Ceylon, Japan, the Indian Ocean Islands, Bali, Surat, Burma, the Celebes and Siam. Christopher Schweitzer travelled between 1676 and 1683 and was primarily stationed in Ceylon. Both men were principally engaged in the activities of trade and sketch a vivid picture of the sights that they saw as a part of their everyday interaction with the natives.
