"The Malabar District Gazetteer was published in 1908. Volume 2 was containing the statistical portion was republished in 1915 and again in 1933. On the later occasion, a supplement containing additions and corrections to Volume 1 was in corporated in Volume 2.・・・The supplement to Volume 1 contained in the 1933 edition of Volume 2 has been incorporated in the present edition."--Prefatory note
