内容説明

Addresses transportation issues against the background of economic and sociopolitical changes in Europe. The shift towards an open "networked" European society has promoted a series of challenging research questions on the position of transport (policy) in Europe. Europe has become a "research laboratory" for transporation scientists, as it is witnessing simultaneously deregulation, integration, market extension, and economic dynamics. Spatial interactivity has become a prominent feature of the European space-economy and is reflected in concepts like interconnectivity, inner modality and inter operability. This volume seeks to offer a selected set of research contributions which all centre around the theme of new advances in networked research in Europe.
