Beginning with the basics of overshot, Donna Lee leads the reader one simple step at a time from traditional 'colonial' four-shaft patterns to designing and drafting overshot, combining overshot with threadings for other weave structures, working with more than four shafts, analysing and reproducing antique fabrics, and reading antique drafts. Each technique is clearly and sensibly presented with drafts, woven samples and easy-to-follow instructions so that beginning weavers will be assured of success and experienced weavers will be inspired by the many possibilities of htis versatile weave structure.
