Description

From 1890, Japanese-style gardens have been built in the Pacific West Coast so skilfully and in such large numbers that they have become an integral part of the region's landscape and culture. Brown explores twenty and presents them as being distinctly North American Japanese style, rather than imitations of authentic gardens in Japan.
