Description and Table of Contents

Description

Anselm Kiefer (1945-) was a pupil of Joseph Beuys. His dark-coloured landscapes of destroyed cathedrals and deserted forests, pervaded by a sense of tragedy, are famous. He paints with paper, glass, tar and straw, and has had many exhibitions in his native Germany and USA. This volume accompanied his exhibition of 30+ works in Bologna, 1999.
