This report is a comprehensive annual survey of economic and social progress in Africa. The report's theme this year - infrastructure for development in Africa - examines the state of infastructure in Africa. Africa's infastructure trails the world, in both extent and quality. Poor infastructure is a major obstacle to the region's economic growth, and adversely affects the living standards of its people.
