内容説明
The general concern of this work is how matters of age and place influence behaviour and attitudes. The specific focus is on the rural aged, nationally and internationally, as a population who are though to "lag behind" in a modernizing or modernized society. It builds a foundation of knowledge about a relatively little-known population, and then uses this neglected group to test theories of social change and adaptation.
目次
- The family life of the rural elderly
- the economics of later life for the rural elderly
- the health of the rural aged
- religion and the rural elderly
- perceived needs and social services
- the old folks at home - a new paradigm.
