Description
In the UK, there are between 138,000 and 345,000 adults and 20,000 children with insulin dependent diabetes. This book aims to provides patients with insulin dependent diabetes, their friends, family and carers with easy-to-access information on the condition. It gives this information in an easy-to-understand/read format and should encourage patients to follow recommended treatment with optimism. It should ensure they gain the ability to manage and control their diabetes and therefore avoid the medical complications that can so easily occur with the condition.
