Description
Jerusalem's history from biblical times to the late 1990s, under Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious rule is described in this text. It examines Jerusalem's significance as a goal of pilgrimage, the sacred centre of the world and as a symbol of eschatological fullness. The goal of the book is to search out the commonalities and differences of the three faiths for the purpose of mutual understanding and coexistence.
