Der von Eddo Rigotti in Zusammenarbeit mit Sara Cigada herausgegebene Band "Rhetoric and Argumentation" versammelt Beitrage einer internationalen Tagung, die im April 1997 an der Universitat Lugano stattfand. Die Beitrage behandeln aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven die neuerdings der Rhetorik zugewiesene Bedeutung innerhalb der Argumentation. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit erfahrt dabei der Zusammenhang zwischen Rhetorik, Argumentation und Vernunft durch die Analyse schriftlicher und mundlicher Texte.
