Description
An account of the Australian Infantry Force's eighth division in Malaya in World War II. It provides a new interpretation of the AIF's activities, in in particular it concentrates on the critical two months of December 1941 and January 1942 and the battles of Muar, Gemas and Nithsdale. Drawing on archival material and on letters and diaries still in private hands, this book explores the strategies of Malaya Command and the role of the Australain Troops.
