内容説明
Historically, some of the great scientists have been encouraged to investigate the structure of humic substances in order to understand their properties, which regulate the environment and affect all aspects of life. Current work applies state-of-the-art instruments and techniques to attempt to solve this 200-year-old mystery. Reporting on front-line research into these natural materials, Understanding Humic Substances: Advanced Methods, Properties and Applications focuses on the use of chemical and physical methodology to seek an explanation of the structures and their relation to macro and microscopic properties. Covering aspects of the biology, chemistry, physics and physiology of humic substances, this book encompasses topics such as fluorescence, laser spectroscopy, senescence and the latest in NMR. Unique in its molecular approach and multidisciplinary in nature, with contributions from international experts including some of the senior statesmen in the field, this book will have broad appeal to researchers and postgraduates with an interest in this complex area.
