Description
This work demonstrates the inextricable overlap between corporate management and corporate governance, with individuals often playing parts in both processes at the same time. It draws from a wide variety of real life case studies: a unitary local authority, a health trust, a university, two schools and a customer service committee of the water industry regulator OFWAT. One of the study's principal findings is that the majority of board members need more awareness - and hence training - in the purpose and practise of financial reporting and management accounting.
