Description and Table of Contents
Description
This practical book provides the basic framework for understanding all legal issues which impinge upon child health care. It includes all relevant information on the Children's and Young Persons Act 1989 with references to any EC directives which have a bearing on practice in the UK as well as UK law. It is presented in four sections. The first unit provides the framework and definitions surrounding legal issues and child care. The second reviews the rights of children in the light of the current legal framework. The third examines professional and parental liabilities such as negligence. The final section looks in more detail at specific situations where legal issues arise such as the giving of vaccinations.
