In light of recent advances in intelligence theory and research, this is the first comprehensive volume which provides an analysis and synthesis of the major intelligence batteries according to contemporary Gf-Gc theory and research. There are four primary goals of this book: (1) to describe the comprehensive and empirically supported psychometric theories of intelligence; (2) to provide a "Desk-Reference" that describes the psychometric characteristics and Gf-Gc abilities of all major intelligence tests; (3) to present a Gf-Gc "cross-battery" approach to measuring intellectual functioning; and (4) to offer the latest research in intellectual assessment. Also, the authors provide thorough detail which researchers and practitioners will be able to use regarding which tests can be used to more effectively assess the integrity of cognitive abilities.
