Niklaus Troxler is internationally known as one of the best contemporary Swiss graphic designers. In fact, he is one of a diminishing number of Swiss designers whose international reputation is founded primarily on their poster design work. Troxler's posters, which are closely linked with the Jazz Festival Willisau, are regarded as outstanding in their impact, symbolism, and expressive force.
